Best Beginning Packages

Antenatal Visit
An antenatal Doula can be particularly useful if you are having a difficult pregnancy, are new to an area or are anxious about the birth/becoming a parent and need some reassurance.

During this period I will come and visit you and chat through your concerns or any questions you have. I can also take on some of your duties to give you time to rest or plan for the baby, this may be looking after other children , walking dogs or doing shopping/errands for you.

£15 per hour

Birth Preparation
I can come to your house and meet you and your partner to talk through what you would like from the birth. I can help inform you of all the different pain relief methods (pros and cons); interventions used and help you write a birth plan appropriate for you. This is particularly helpful if your partner (or you) have been unable to attend pre-natal birth classes or would just prefer to have a more casual meeting in your own home with no time schedules.

£50 per session

Birth Doula
Two visits before the baby is born (usually for 2 hours each),
To be ‘on call’ for a month, 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the baby is due,
Support during the whole birth till you feel ready for me to leave after you and the baby have got settled,
One visit after you get home, just to talk through everything and see how you are feeling.

Post Natal Doula
The aim of this service is to enable your new family to become established in as stress- free an environment as possible.

£15 per hour

Overnight Stays
I am happy to come and stay with you if you feel this would be a help. I could stay over in the house while you are at the hospital and get everything ready for your return, or to look after any other children in the family while you are away.
I can also come and stay after the baby has been born, maybe to feed the baby in the night to enable you to get full nights sleep? Or to feed and put older children to bed whilst you look after yourself and the new baby.

£120 per night
